Pheu Thai celebration candidate Srettha Thavisin has been voted the next Thai high minister, after his predecessor Thaksin Shinawatra was jailed.
Old PM Shinawatra was jailed upon returning to Thailand after 15 years in exile.
Pheu Thai insists the 2 trends – Mr Thaksin’s return and the coalition that voted for a Pheu Thai PM – are unconnected.
